The Friday Night Project

Aimed at 11-19 year olds, The Friday Night Project operates a range of activities on Friday nights from 8.00pm - 10.00pm at The Arena, including:

• Football
• Streetdance
• Dodgeball
• Ultimate Frisbee
• Killer Pool

In the past we have seen over 100 young people take part in The Friday Night Project every week across North Hertfordshire. The project is a great example of partnership working  whilst connecting with and understanding the needs of young people.

Many partners are involved in The Friday Night Project including CHILD UK, Hertfordshire Police, Youth Connexions, Hitchin Town FC, North Herts DC, North Herts Homes, Young People’s Substance Misuse Team, North Herts Extended Schools Co-ordinators, Herts Fire & Rescue, Herts Sports Partnership & Sport North Herts.

The Friday Night Project recently won the High Sheriff's Crimebeat Award for 2009/2010 for its work in helping to tackle anti-social behaviour in North Hertfordshire and having a positive impact on crime reduction and community safety.
